We usually go out to get our Asian food fix, but since I found the Land O Lakes Sauté Express at our local Walmart, I thought I should fore-go the takeout and try to make it myself at home. Easy, right?Walmart carries these Land O Lakes Sauté Express® Sauté Starter packs in their refrigerated section. They had 3 different flavors at my local Walmart. I of course went the Asian route and chose the Teriyaki butter saute starter.
So I said to my husband, “Guess what we’re having for dinner tonight AT HOME? Beef Teriyaki Stir Fry!”
Needless to say he was pretty darn excited. Any excuse to eat Asian food is just fine by him!
So, I got all the necessary ingredients for the stir fry and we headed home.
I will now show you what we made, the recipe and how it turned out! For the stir fry we got Stir Fry Beef, Snow Peas, Onions, Green, Red and Yellow Peppers. We chopped them all up into stir-fry-size pieces. Yes, my husband was so excited that he decided to help me chop the veggies. Isn’t that sweet?
We cooked the beef in the yummy Land O Lakes Teriyaki Seasoned Butter Saute Starter with the beef, then added the veggies and fried them until the veggies had softened a little.
You can feel free to serve your stir fry over rice, or leave it plain.
I love how the sauce incorporated into the veggies and gave the dish that overall teriyaki flavor. We used 2 Sauté Express® Sauté Starter Cubes for our recipe, and it was perfect with a little bit of salt and pepper added.
And, here folks, is how it turned out! My husband said the house smelled like a Chinese Restaurant, so I think I did something right. 🙂
I love how the red and yellow peppers give the dish such a vibrancy, and the cooked onions were super yummy! The beef really absorbed the teriyaki, so it was a flavorful punch in each bite. I also loved how super easy it was to make– and I am all about easy dinner recipes!
- 2 Cubes of Land O Lakes Teriyaki Saute Express
- 1 Lb of Stir Fry Beef
- 1 onion
- 1 Green Pepper
- 1 Yellow Pepper
- 1 Red Pepper
- 1 bag of Snow Peas
- Melt your Saute Cubes in a skillet over medium heat until they have completely melted and have covered the pan.
- Add your Beef to the skillet and saute 5 minutes.
- Cut all your veggies into stir fry-sized pieces and add to the pan.
- If you're afraid your beef is going to overcook, just remove from the pan and set aside until right before your veggies are done cooking.
- Saute your veggies to your liking. We sauteed ours about 10 minutes so they would still have a little crunch to them.
We are really trying to make it a point NOT to eat out during the week… To only leave that for special occasions or a Weekend treat once a week. So, for the rest of the week, our EASY menu plan will look something like this:
Sunday: Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry
Monday: Broccoli Cheddar Soup
Tuesday: Oven Roasted Sausage and Veggies
Wednesday: Sloppy Joes
Thursday: Jack O Lantern Pizzas
Friday: Baked Chicken Bruschetta
Saturday: Taco Salad with Doritos
I love that my whole week is now planned out. Now I have one less thing to stress out about! 🙂
