Easter is around the corner, my friends, so it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to put in your kiddo’s basket. Let me help put your mind at ease with some great ideas from Walmart, and a super easy DIY Easter Grass craft from yours truly. You’ll love it, I promise!
Let me be completely honest here. When I was a kid, my parents spoiled us on pretty much each and every holiday. Christmas, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Halloween– you name it, my parents always found a way to make it very fun and special for us, and Easter was no different.
I loved when my parents showered us fun gifts and memories on holidays and I wanted to do the same with my kids. Of course, I don’t ever want them to forget the real meaning of Easter, which is celebrating the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.. that will always be the front runner of all of our holidays.. but I want them to have great memories of Easter, complete with some candy and toys. 🙂
This year, the girls have really been into Disney. We have watched FROZEN about one hundred million times, and my youngest daughter has watched both the Little Mermaid and Aladdin about 300 times this year alone. Needless to say, my kiddos are obsessed, so I went ahead and made their Easter baskets Disney-themed. My son will be forced to love the Marvel characters when he gets older because we do, so that is why he is getting a Marvel basket. Plus they are just cool!
See how easy that was? Just some scrapbook paper, some scissor or a paper shredder and you’ll have tons of Easter grass in no time. I used paper I had on hand and coordinated the colors to each basket. Easy peasy!
You can of course pick up all these amazing goodies at Walmart, as they have a huge selection of Disney Easter and other things for the kids to enjoy.
What ideas do you have for your kiddo’s Easter basket this year? I’d love to hear all about it and how you liked the Easter grass tutorial in the comments below.
