It’s official, friends– our house is now officially on the market! After about a month straight of purging, staging, painting and more, I can finally feel comfortable with people coming to see the house! Now, don’t get me wrong,,, I still have work to do. Our second bathroom still has the primer on the walls, our second living area/garage conversion needs to be touched up and staged and our back patio could use a refreshment. But, other than that, I think we are good to go! Would you like to see some pics?
Here’s the deck. It clearly needs some work. It looks sad! I am going to rearrange some of the stuff, clean it up, maybe add a plant or two and find a way to treat the decking. Despite the ugliness, it really is a peaceful place to be!
And straight ahead is our very pink bathroom! About 7 years ago, my husband I got the stupid idea to paint the tiles around the sink and tub. Dumb idea! I was so stressed, wondering how we could restore the tile and if we couldn’t, how are we going to sell the house without remodeling it? Thankfully, I got some advice from a mid century facebook group suggesting I use a certain paint stripper…and sure enough, the paint came right off! I was so happy. Since the mid century style is coming back, I knew the next owners would appreciate all the pink. I know I do now!
As you can see, I have been working my butt off! We did convert our garage to a 2nd living space and a 2nd bathroom, and those still need work (that’s why I am not showing you all..ha!), but I am fine with showing the house the way it is. And did you notice that there’s NO laundry ANYWHERE??? That’s right, we have been keeping up with the laundry everyday, making sure to keep things nice and tidy!
The thing that has really helped me keep that laundry at bay is to wash, dry and put away laundry every day! Really, the same goes with all chores of the house, but especially laundry. That stuff can get out of hand fast! We’ve been using the all free clear for the past month and it has really put my mind at ease because it has seemed to clear up the issues my children have had with itchy skin. My 3 year old would always complain about her back being itchy and she would always have scratches and scab marks all over her shoulder blades. Ever since we have switched, her back looks clear and no scratches! My son was also having a slight reaction to the previous detergent we were using, thus his torso being kind of bumpy. Ever since we switched to the all free clear, it has completely changed their skin. It’s great!
Anyway, this weekend, I hope to finish up the garage conversion and plant some fruit and veggies I got for me new portable earth box! I can’t wait to share that with you all, as it’s my first year of having any kind of garden. I can’t wait to be able to have my own yummy foods that I grew with my own hands! Have you tried all free clear? What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
Till next time!
