Woohoo!! Who’s excited about the new Disney Descendants move that was just released on July 31? My daughters and of I are!
And if you’re here and you’re not aware of what the Disney Descendants move is, let me tell you! The Descendants are the offspring of 4 of the classic Disney Villains: the Evil Queen, Maleficent, Cruella de Vil and Jafar. They are are awarded the chance to go to school with the “good kids,” and this is their chance to live away from their villain parents and see if they can survive!
My personal favorite villain is Maleficent, so I picked up her descendant, Mal. She partners well with the son of the Beast, doesn’t she? By the way, the Beast Descendant is being crowned the new King. Squee!
Don’t they make a cute doll pair? My girls are so excited that I picked these up at Walmart the other day for our fun little watch party, along with the movie and the soundtrack. Girls night!
While we were out getting the stuff for this awesome movie release party, we cruised through the craft section because we wanted to make a little something that would compliment Disney Descendants.
We made these super easy Hair clips that are inspired by the dolls we purchased. The purple bows perfectly match Mal and the rose represents the prince. A perfect craft pairing!
For this craft, all you need is metal hair clips, rose and flower bows, and adhesive, like hot glue or a liquid adhesive. Glue the bows onto the metal hair clips, let them set to dry and that’s it! They are super easy to make, and you can get all the kiddos involved in this craft!
We really enjoyed Disney Descendants, it has a lot of funny parts, and it’s a great spin off and continuation story of some of the classic Disney villains. What a fun story for the kiddos that helps to connect the generations!
Tell me, who’s your favorite Disney Villain being featured in this new movie release? Let me know in the comments below!
