Who here is completely terrified about cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving? (Raises hand high) This Oven Ready Cajun Style Turkey, sponsored by Jennie-O has really relieved that terror for me, and I am thankful. But first, I want to explain why I am terrified.
For most of us, we know we will be making food at Thanksgiving for a group of people or a large crowd. In the United States, Thanksgiving is all about gathering around a big table of people and food and sharing what we’re thankful for while eating delicious dishes.
Prepping and cooking a turkey absolutely terrifies me, because I know there are very important steps that help ensure the success of said turkey. And since it’s the shining occupant of the Thanksgiving table, I am so afraid to screw it up.
From making sure a frozen turkey is thawed out in time, making sure it’s seasoned and stuffed properly, and timing it to be cooked in time for consumption.. woah you guys.. it’s a stressful event!
Thankfully, Jennie-O has come to my rescue and has saved my sanity. This was the easiest turkey EVER for me to cook. It comes frozen, but you can cook it from frozen to ready in around 4 hours. There is no prepping whatsoever, which is amazing, Jennie-O has already seasoned and done the prep work for you. All you do is open the bag, stick the frozen turkey in a roasting pan, pierce and lift the bag away from the meat and cook. That’s it!
Jennie-O has a regular and cajun-styled turkey for a little added kick to your Thanksgiving. I was intrigued by the Cajun-style so I bought it and stuck it in my oven. You guys…. my house smelled amazing the whole day! This turkey has some amazing spices throughout, so if you love your turkey spicy, this is the turkey for you this Thanksgiving!
We cooked our turkey and presented it last week on a Facebook live and created a cajun-inspired side to go with it.. here’s the video if you’d like to see how it turned out!
And I am also doing another giveaway! I would love to give one of you the chance to win 4-$5 of coupons for Jennie-O products! So, be sure to tell me below what your favorite dish for Thanksgiving is. I will pick a winner randomly by the end of the weekend!
