Friend Dates, Everyday Indulgences with Gevalia Mocha Lattes & Baked Apple Cider Donuts

Disclosure CBias

My friend Aimee and I get together weekly (sometimes several times a week) to enjoy adult conversation and let’s be honest here– blow off a little steam. Life can be rough for stay-at-home moms, so it’s nice to have someone face-to-face who you can share with, encourage; and get the same in return. Both of us are strong advocates of budgeting and saving money. But the issue can be that we both LOVE coffee. Let’s face it– it’s our livelihood to keep things going! We know that spending money several times a week on a $5 on a single cup latte, so when I happened upon Gevalia Mocha Latte K-cups at Walmart, I knew it would be a perfect addition to what I like to call, our “Friend Dates.” Ha ha!

You can see my shop experience at Walmart on Google+.

So this week, I had Aimee over after dropping the kiddos off at school and we enjoyed these cafe-style drinks that come straight out of my Keurig Machine. It’s like magic!

Gevalia Mocha Latte #shopThese were super easy to make. There were only two steps to making a yummy cup of latte bliss– The Gevalia Espresso Coffee K-cup and the Mocha Latte Froth Packet.

Shall I demonstrate how it’s done?

Gevalia Latte Froth Packet #shopFirst, open your Gevalia Mocha Latte Froth Packet and pour it into your mug of choice. I love these clear mugs. It allows me to see all that bubbly goodness.

Gevalia K Cups #shopThen, you’re going to put the Gevalia Espresso Coffee Cup in your Keurig, close the lid, put your mug under the dispenser and push the small mug button. Your machine may looks different than mine, but the smaller cup button is the to the left on my machine.

Baked Apple Cider DonutsI also decided to whip up some Homemade Baked Apple Cider Donuts. They go PERFECT with the Gevalia Mocha Lattes. AND– they are the perfect dipping size. Yum! The recipe will be at the bottom of this post if you’d like to make some for yourself. I HIGHLY recommend it!

“Coffee and donuts first– talk later” is our motto. Ha ha!

Gevalia Mocha Latte Dunk Donut #shopLike I said before, my Baked Apple Cider Donuts paired amazingly with the Gevalia Mocha Lattes. They definitely were best dipped into the latte. Drool.

Aimee Gevalia Mocha Latte #shopAimee was super excited, can you tell? She probably consumed everything in about 4.34 seconds. It was THAT good.

And don’t worry– I got her permission to post this picture of her. She cracks me up with how excited she was!

Gevalia Mocha Lattee K Cup Box Brewed #shopGevalia Mocha Lattes are definitely an everyday indulgence for me, even when there aren’t friend dates planned. As I am typing up this post and working on blog stuff, I am enjoying a warm, delicious cup. This mama definitely needs something today, especially since she’s been up since 4:30 this morning. It’s just necessary.

So, go right ahead and have a daily indulgence, a friend date, or both with Gevalia Mocha Latte K-cups. I double dog dare ya!

i want to make these donuts for thanksgiving morning, I noticed no egg in your recipe….when researching other recipes they all included eggs..? Is there a reason or science behind the no egg!??

    1. Vanessa says:

Well, I don’t know the exact science behind the no egg thing, but it did not need eggs! It baked up just fine, and it tasted delicious!
