Quick Simple Game Day Party #shopThis year for the Big Game, I will be super busy at home with a newborn. Yes, folks, I am welcoming a baby boy into this world this coming Friday. This will be my third child and my first boy. My Oh My! Since we will be just freshly home from the hospital, our Big Game traditions have changed quite a bit this year. We won’t be celebrating with friends from church like we normally do, I won’t be able to cook up anything clever in the kitchen before the party– it will be just a simple, quiet get together with my husband, my mother (aka the older children baby sitter– HA!), my girls and brand new baby boy! And that is A OK– because T.G.I Friday’s has made it so easy for me to whip something together quickly and easily for the family during the Big Game! TGI Fridays Appetizers Walmart #shopThe first thing I did was pick up T.G.I. Friday’s Cheddar & Bacon Potato Skins and their Honey BBQ Wings at Walmart. I figured these would be the perfect main snacks for that I can easily throw in the oven, take out and serve to my family while everyone’s relaxing in front of the TV during the Big Game.TGI Friday Game Day Appetizers #shopIf you’re planning a low-key get together at home for the Big Game, these wings and potato skins are the way to go! Both the BBQ Wings and the Potato Skins took less than 15 minutes in the oven. Super easy! TGI Friday Skins Wings #shopThe wings just take a little toss in a bowl with their prepackaged BBQ sauce after they’re cooked. The potato skins go straight from oven to plate. No mess! All I did was add a little parsley to the skins after baking to give them that little green kick.TGI Fridays Appetizers Game Day #shopI also threw together some cups of carrots, pretzels and made a ranch dip to go along with everything I was serving. Like I said before– super easy!Game Day Bunting #shopAnd since I am always feeling festive, I hand-cut these cute and easy paper footballs and pennants and hot glued them to shiny green foil ribbon to make a bunting to hang where the food is to be served. Super easy!Party Dip Sticks TGI Friday #shopI also made these DIY Party Dip Sticks that you can pick your food up with and dip it in whatever sauce you have on hand. All it takes to make these are mini wooden skewers, scrap book paper cut into pennant shapes, the same green foil ribbon used for the bunting (tied and curled on the sticks) and some tape! I added rice to the cup I put them in to help them stand up on their own.

Way to be resourceful, Vanessa. Pat on the back!TGI Friday Appetizers Home Party #shopOverall, everything was a breeze to put together, cook up and serve. I really think my family is going to enjoy their at-home Game Day Party during the Big Game. Even though it may be nothing fancy, the food sure is delicious and it serves as a great memory for my entire family!

Oh, and awesome news! Walmart will be doing in-store demos of these delicious appetizers, this coming weekend, 1/30-2/4/2014! Try before you buy– I like it!!!

How are you enjoying your Big Game festivities?
