elmers school supply donations

Last year, the girls and I participated in the Champions for Kids/Elmer’s Bag it Forward program, where we went shopping for a student in need at one of the local elementary schools here in town. This year was no different, as I feel it is so important to give to our community.. so why not make a tradition of it? So, once again, the girls and i headed out to Walmart and this year we got double the school supplies that my daughter needed for second grade, even including the backpack!

elmers lets bondHere’s my oldest sporting the donated backpack with supplies in hand in front of the same school we donated to last year! It was a time for us to reflect on what we did last year and how we want to do it every year on out. How do you give to your community?

If you want to give school supplies to your community schools, be sure to drop off your donations in the yellow school bus boxes at your local Walmart until August 1st, or find a school that has a need. Elmer’s and Champions for Kids has made it so easy to help, so I challenge you to do just that!
