Keeping my baby safe with the Levana Ayden Video Baby Monitor + a Giveaway!

Having 3 kids, sometimes I wish I could bubble wrap everything to keep them safe. The house they live in, the ground they walk on, each other– yea, I admit it, I am one of those helicopter parents. My middle girl likes to be a little rough with her little brother, so I am constantly having to run into the next room to make sure she’s not pushing him or riding him like a horse (it’s happened, trust me!).

Even though my son isn’t walking yet at 14 months, he is quite the little daredevil– climbing on furniture and cruising along the walls.. I’ve had visions of him climbing out of his crib during naptimes, so I incessantly check on him throughout that 3 hour chunk of time to make sure he is safe. It’s quite interrupting to do so since I try to work during those times, plus I don’t want to wake him by the creaky door opening to his room, so something just has to give!

Thankfully, something did when I received this Levana Ayden baby video monitor to review! I had an audio baby monitor when I had my 8 year old, but it always picked up the local radio station so it drove me nuts! Soon after she was born, they started coming out with the amazing video monitors and I thought they were the coolest! But for some reason, I never got one. Now that there are 3 kiddos at home, and I work at home, I can’t always keep an eye on what they’re doing, since they all like to play together in their brother’s room/play room.

It’s nice to have this fun little contraption to keep an eye on them from the next room, and keep an eye on my youngest while he’s asleep in his crib, all while I am sitting at my desk (or kitchen table, or my bed), working.

This baby video monitor has just about everything you could ever want! Night vision, a speaker to talk back to them, an option to play 3 different musical lullabies, a nightlight, and even a thermometer that displays the room temperature right on the display. How cool is that?! My husband says this is probably one of the coolest things I’ve received while blogging. I must say that I agree. 🙂 The receiver has so many options. It’s cordless and has a 48 hour battery life, so I can carry it all over the place (I carried it outside on the back porch while my son was napping inside and my 3 year old was playing on the swingset).

This monitor has all the bells and whistles on it that you will more than appreciate. I love that the night vision goes 15 feet so I can see all of my son’s room at night when it’s mostly dark. I love that I can talk to my kids when they’re playing from the other side of the house just by the push of a button. It’s very interactive and I really like that!

The monitor displays video in color, which is top notch in my opinion! It’s handheld, but not too small, so you can see details way better than a teeny little receiver. Like I said, my son likes to play with the girls and I like being able to keep an extra eye on all of them when I am not in there with them. It really gives me a peace of mind to know they’re safe and that I can keep more eyes on them at all times. 🙂 I will be able to get a lot more done with my blog and around the house without having to worry about what the kids are doing. No more running into the next room every 5 minutes. Ahh. 🙂

If you’re in the market for a new video monitor, I highly suggest purchasing a Levana baby video monitor! The one they gave me to review (the Ayden) is great and does so much for me! They do have other options available too, and if you click on the Buy it Now button above, you can see what they have available! Levana only makes baby monitors, so you know they spend extra time and care on every type of baby monitor they make. It’s their specialty. Nice!

Another option to try to snag one of these babies is to enter the giveaway that I am having with 9 other bloggers right now, where we are giving away 3 Levana Ayden monitors to 3 lucky people! Just enter using the giveaway widget below– and tell your friends! The more, the merrier!

    this video monitor looks amazing.

Being a mommy of a 3 year old. Life gets crazy. Who am I kidding? Life is crazy in general. I wish I could slow down the time though and get more “family” time with less worry while she’s still little. Time goes so fast it seems anymore.

  2. Sleep! 🙂

I have a monitor that I hate so much. It constantly beeps at me, even when my son is passed out and not moving! This monitor looks like a dream come true! I would love to have a monitor with such a clear display that I don’t have to worry about the batteries for at least 48 hours ( my current one only lasts maybe 3 before I have to plug it in). Thanks for the review of this product!
