Recently, one of my friend’s just had her first girl after having 2 boys! I was super excited for her and knew she would have a blast having a precious little girl. I always love making stuff for my friends and family who have babies. There’s just something about giving them something you made with love that they can enjoy, and is practical too! I usually make burp cloths but this time around I wanted to make something no-sew, and something that would go great with the Disney Baby items I picked up for her at Walmart. This baby gift idea is pretty simple to make.. and the best thing is that you don’t have to have a sewing machine to do it! Woot!

You need to remove the elastic from ironing board metal clips as you only need the clips for this project. You can save the elastic for future projects if you want!

step 2 pacifier clip tutorial

I purchased grosgrain ribbon for this project in Minnie Mouse-inspired colors and designs. Make sure you don’t make the clip too long as it may become a choking hazard.

step 3 pacifier clip tutorialLiquid Stitch is amazing. Once it dries it holds the ribbon together really well! Make sure you face the metal clip the correct way before you adhere the ribbon to itself.

The Velcro pieces I had were a little bit bigger than the ribbon, so I cut them down to size before adhering them to the ribbon. That way they didn’t overlap and make things gooey. Make sure you leave enough space between pieces of velcro so the pacifier fits in there comfortably!

And that’s it! There’s really nothing to it, an easy baby gift DIY idea that you can adapt to any gender and style!

I plan on making some for my son in boy themes because he still loves his binky, and only the Lord knows how many we’ve lost recently!

This Minnie Mouse Healthy & Grooming Kit is my absolute favorite item that I found from the Disney Baby Line. My 3-year old daughter wanted to steal it for herself because it’s so cute! Plus it has pretty much everything you need to groom your beautiful baby!

  1. We never did pacifiers for my kids, but as my daughter got older, I saw so many people using these leashes – I don’t remember them from when she was an infant! – and they looked so useful. I love that you make your own for people. They must love that! #client

How well does the velcro hold on to the fabric? Has it held up after opening and closing a bunch of times?

    1. It holds on really well!
