Sourdough Starters– 2 Ingredients!

Y’all, did you know you can make sourdough bread starters with just two ingredients? Yea, it’s true!

I recently watched a video about ancient bread-making practices and how beneficial it is to have bread made using natural fermentation. I know fermented foods have been a really big thing once again and it is something that has definitely piqued my and my husband’s interest, so I thought why not!

I liken making sourdough bread to having a science experiment on your kitchen counter. It’s actually great because my kids can participate and learn how to make things from scratch. It’s such a great thing for them to know where things come from and the history of how things were made. read more

I always have grand plans to cook delicious whole food meals for my family every day of the week. I buy yummy fruits and veggies for my kids and myself to have for a snack. I buy huge bins of organic spinach to put in salads, smoothies and to freeze for future smoothies. I promise, each and every piece of produce I put in my refrigerator has a plan. But of course, plans change, and said produce dies very quickly. read more
