I participated in a campaign on behalf of Millennial Central for Mrs. T’s Pierogies. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. This past weekend, we had our close friends from church over for a yummy lunch and a kick-butt game of cards. We always make it a point to get together on a weekly basis and recently we have turned our get-togethers into fun afternoons/evenings of games and laughter. With this particular get together, my husband wanted to try a new way of eating Mrs. T’s Pierogies since we just served it with a basic butter sauce the last time. He thought a stroganoff would be a perfect food to put over the pierogies because pasta and potatoes are usually the bases of any stroganoff recipe. And hey, since Mrs. T’s has both together in one delicious bite, I mean, it sounds like a perfect combination! So, before our game afternoon extravaganza began, I whipped together some beef stroganoff in the crock pot and we poured them over Mrs. T’s pierogies that I had boiled in a big pot. I used two of the Mrs. T’s family size bags of pierogies and let me tell you, we pretty much ate them all up between the 4 of us. It was a hit!Between the stroganoff being cooked in a slow cooker and the pierogies only taking about 5 minutes to cook in boiling water, this really made for an easy and quick food for us gamers! We were able to gobble up our food in no time and get right down to business– playing fun card games. What a blast!
