Back-to-school time is just around the corner, so these next few weeks are going to be busy prepping and getting ready for all three kids to go to school! My oldest daughter will be going into the 3rd grade and my youngest two will be going to pre-school at the same place. Last school year was a lot of lessons learned. Are you a breakfast eater? Do you love your Smartphone and downloading really great apps? Do you love a great deal?

If you said yes to any or all of the above mentioned things, you’re going to love this post. Especially if you’re striving to eat healthier around breakfast and want to save some moo-lah in the process! For me, I am a huge breakfast eater. In fact, most days, it’s my biggest meal of the day. I don’t know what it is about me, but I wake up super hungry most mornings. If I don’t have something quick and easy for me to whip up at home before I get the kids off to school and my day begins, then I will run through the quickest fast food line on my way home. And we all know that is not good for my waist nor my wallet! I have always been a frugal shopper, and I love using apps on my phone in leiu of printing and/or cutting coupons. It’s just so much easier for this busy momma. Now it’s time to add healthy breakfast ideas to my menu! read more

Let’s face it– life is BUSY! The reason it is busy for me is because I have 3 children, all in different stages of life, I run this blog (which I LOVE), I have another business on the side, and I manage the home. Whew! During the school year, especially, things can get down right crazy. We are usually always running out the door late, making the kiddos eat in the car on the way to school. Now that it’s Summer and I have the chance to reflect on last school year and the things I want to do differently, it’s definitely on my list to slow down just a little bit in the mornings and give my kids the healthy breakfast they deserve. Now I don’t mean to dedicate an entire hour to breakfast, but at least give them a quick and easy breakfast  that is good for them too before we head out the door. read more
