Sale pending girls

It has been quite the long week, with lots of packing, cleaning, purging, and all the stuff that goes along with buying a house too. boxes moving sell house

Here’s what one corner of my kitchen looks like right now. Boxes. Yay!

moving boxes

And here are some boxes piled up under the bar in my kitchen. My goal has been to pack at least a box a day until it’s time to move out– and it’s working quite well! But with that, it’s been pure craziness around here. Since I have been super busy with all of that, it’s been hard to keep up with cooking full blown meals every single night. Some nights, when we are super busy packing and such, it’s nice to be able to grab an easy meal that’s cooked for me. Can I get an Amen? read more

If you have kids, I am sure you can relate with me that mornings can be quite crazy. For me in the mornings, usually the general routine is this, in short: Get self up, get kids up, get kids to  school, grumble around until I find my caffeine source (usually I buy a cup of coffee during my morning shenanigans), and then become a new person after coffee consumption. Now, most mornings are never complete without at least one child crying, another child dragging behind and another child unable to find something or unwilling to find said lost item. So now do you see my need for that coffee goodness? When I heard about Walmart offering McCafé  coffee that I could actually brew at home, I was BEYOND thrilled! Not only can I have coffee ready before my morning routines, I can save some serious sanity and dough by having it on hand. I had heard about McCafé at Walmart during one of their live demos and was able to sample some of the coffee and let me tell you, I was impressed. And, do you know what this mean folks? This means that I can enjoy McCafé coffee whenever, however, wherever I want. Woohoo! read more

Movie Night, Pillow Forts and Pop Secret Popcorn

Thanks, Pop Secret, for sponsoring our pillow fort making and movie watching!

movie night ideas

During the school year, Fridays are usually always a day of celebration for the whole family. That means the kiddos and daddy is home for the weekend and we can have a weekend to reconnect and spend time together as a family. This past Friday, I wanted to surprise my daughters with a pillow fort-making, movie and popcorn party as a kick off to the weekend. To say they were excited is an  understatement! We live in a pretty small house with 5 people, so pillow forts aren’t always an option because of a lack of space. But this week I made an exception and we set up the most awesomest pillow fort ever (according to my children)! read more

DIY Christmas Card Gift Tags Using BIC® Mark-It Markers!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of BIC®. All opinions are 100% mine.

Each and every year at the beginning of the Holiday Season, we receive lots of beautiful Christmas cards from friends and family and proud-fully display them around our home! At the end of the season, we used to just take the cards and throw them in the recycling (sorry friends and family– sad, but true!) and wait for more beautiful cards to come the next year.

Thankfully, a few years ago, I stopped chucking them into recycling and started putting them to good use and re-purposing them! I have loved doing this so much, that I collect cards from people at my church and in turn, have invited them for a fun craft night where they can embellish and create beautiful gift tags to attach to their Christmas gifts each and every year. So fun! read more
