Y’all, did you know you can make sourdough bread starters with just two ingredients? Yea, it’s true! 

I recently watched a video about ancient bread-making practices and how beneficial it is to have bread made using natural fermentation. I know fermented foods have been a really big thing once again and it is something that has definitely piqued my and my husband’s interest, so I thought why not!

I liken making sourdough bread to having a science experiment on your kitchen counter. It’s actually great because my kids can participate and learn how to make things from scratch. It’s such a great thing for them to know where things come from and the history of how things were made. read more

What are your Summer traditions? For us, we spend the majority of our Summer at the pool. We also really enjoy cooling down after spending those fun days in the sun. Our local pool has a snack stand, but if we constantly buy from there, that can add up quick! So, I just promise the kiddos a cool treat when we get home– ice cream sandwiches! It works out both for my wallet and keeps them cool and happy too!

One of the reason this meal is pretty darn easy is because of this delicious Homestyle Ragu pasta sauce. Just pour it it into the bottom of a 9×13 pan before you place the seared chicken in, and it marinates even more in the oven. So yummy!

Dulce de Leche Rice Cereal

When I was a kid, my dad would always use the leftover rice from dinner the night before and turn it into a delicious breakfast! I know that may seem so weird to you, but it was a cheap and yummy way to have breakfast and not waste food. I decided to put a little spin on his creation and make this easy Dulce de Leche Rice Cereal using La Lechera Dulce de Leche!
